Instructions for your perfect poster at MIE2023
To create a high-quality PowerPoint slide (PPT) for an A0-sized poster print (which is 841 x 1189 mm or 33.1 x 46.8 inches), for your poster at MIE 2023 follow these steps:
Open PowerPoint and create a new document. ( or use the template )
Go to the "Design" tab and click on "Slide Size" or "Custom Slide Size" (depending on your PowerPoint version).
Choose "Custom" from the list of slide sizes. Enter the dimensions for A0 size in millimeters (841 mm wide and 1189 mm tall) or inches (33.1 inches wide and 46.8 inches tall) and click "OK". This will change the slide size to A0.
To ensure high quality of images, insert high-resolution images (300 dpi or higher) and avoid resizing them too much after adding them to PowerPoint.
Use vector graphics (e.g., icons, symbols, and shapes) whenever possible, as they can be scaled without losing quality.
Use clear and easy-to-read fonts in a size that is legible from a distance of at least one meter.
Avoid using excessive text. Focus on presenting your information with visual elements such as charts, graphs, and images.
When your poster is complete, save it as a PowerPoint presentation (PPT or PPTX). To prepare it for printing, go to "File" and select "Export" or "Save As." Choose "PDF" as the file format and save your presentation as a PDF file. This will ensure that all fonts, images, and layouts remain intact and in high quality when printed.
Remember to double-check all settings and preview your poster before sending it for printing, to ensure that everything looks good and meets your expectations.
Pay for the printing before May 7 and Upload your poster to the file server at : Upload your poster
And then magic will happen - Your poster will be in Gothenburg before you arrive and be hanged up before you will visit the poster exhibition
