Key Notes NI Day MAY 24 at MIE 2023 

Ann Kristin Rotegård is the managing director of VAR Healthcare and has an MA in Nursing Science specialising in the field of didactics and has a Ph.D. from the University of Oslo, Faculty of Clinical Medicine based on the term "Health Assets" (the patient's own strengths, resources and mobilisation of own power). She has extensive experience from the Children's Clinic at Rikshospitalet (Oslo University Hospital), where she has held various positions, including positions in education and management. She has been committed to quality, structure, system, and continuity in nursing documentation for many years. She was a member of the Norwegian Nurses Organisation's Terminology Committee, contributing to the translation of NOC and ICNP, and was a board member of NNO’s special interest group of eHealth and the NorhIT group in the Norwegian Data Society.  Ann Kristin is the chair of The Nursing Informatics Special Interest Group (IMIA NI), a sub-group of the International Medical Informatics Association.

Anne Moen, RN, Ph.D., FACMI, FIAHSI is a full professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Oslo, Oslo, Norway, and an adjunct Professor at, the Norwegian Center for eHealth Research, Tromsø, Norway. She is the Director of UiO:eColab, Institute for health and society, a research lab supporting technology-mediated complex, patient-focused interventions in primary care or the home, and multidisciplinary teamwork where health professionals, patients, and their families collaborate to sustain health and well-being. Her research program seeks to understand better digital citizens-centered services based on opportunities to “collect, curate and control” all relevant, personal health information. To do so, she combines in-depth insights into healthcare with the design and deployment of accessible digital solutions, emphasizing citizen empowerment, digital health literacy, and overall engagement for health and wellness.

Professor Moen is the Coordinator of “Gravitate – Health: Empowering and Equipping Europeans with Health Information from trusted sources for active, safe, secure personal health management and adherence to treatment” Innovation Medicine Initiative Public-Private Partnership (project 945334, IMI2 JU, 2020-2025). Gravitate-Health’s mission is to prepare and test innovative, easy-to-use, elegant digital services that actively engage and empower citizens and their support network with access to and understanding health information from trusted sources. Professor Moen served as EFMI representative in the EU eHealth stakeholder group (2015 – 2019) and was a rapporteur for a special focus on “Citizens – health data.” She was elected to ACMI (American College of Medical Informatics) 2015, is a founding fellow of IAHSI (International Academy for Health Sciences Informatics) 2017, and is an Honorary Fellow of EFMI 2019.

Dorthe Boe Danbjørg is a nurse and holds a PhD in health science. She is vice president of The Danish Nurses Organization.

Dorthe has been working with innovation and technology in healthcare for the last decade. She has recently published a textbook for nurses on technology .

Madeleine Blusi, RN, PhD. Combined clinical employment at Region Västerbotten and Umeå University, Sweden. Clinical work as a nurse in palliative care at Department of Oncology, Norrland University Hospital, Umeå, Sweden. My primary research area is artificial intelligence, AI, in health care with focus on interactive, personalized coaching systems for nurses and patients. Teaching future nurses at Umeå University, Department of Nursing. Motto: I want nurses to take lead in the digital development in health care – not be forced to adapting to predetermined systems. 

Cynthia Abi Khalil, PhD (c). M.sc. I am a nurse with 15 years of experience in nursing. Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, followed by a master’s degree in Research, in addition to the official French diploma in Nursing and currently pursuing my PhD studies in Medical Informatics at Paris Sorbonne University under the supervision of Pr. Brigitte SEROUSSI, where I am exploring the identification of key design and implementation features that are related to optimizing the usability, clinical relevance and outcomes of clinical decision support systems implemented for the nursing process. In matter of clinical experience, I have been an experienced nurse in the departments of pediatrics & neonatology intensive care, pediatric oncology and pediatric surgery for over 10 years before moving to staff development and project management positions. I am currently the Director of Nursing at a University Medical Center in Lebanon as of October 2018, having had in the past three years the challenge to lead and support 350 nurses in times of unprecedented crisis in the country, shortage and dramatic immigration rates. I am also a part time faculty member in several nursing faculties in Lebanon.
